Glencore woos investors, promises aggressive cuts

DOHA THE Research and Studies Section at the Police Training Institute (PTI) recently organised a two-day workshop on the implementation of the recommendations of the symposium on security culture and its role in the development of society held last year.

Thirteen departments of the Ministry of the Interior participated in the workshop.

The first session participants were divided into six groups to discuss various themes on visions for including security culture in public education and its enforcement mechanisms.

The first group participants from Criminal Information Department, Coastal Security, Drug Enforcement, and the Police Training Institute discussed ‘curriculum on drug awareness’.

The second group discussed traffic culture curriculum.

The participants were Traffic Department, Al Fazaa and the Police Training Institute.

The third group of representatives from Human Rights Department, North Security Department and the Police Training Institute discussed human rights, human trafficking and community policing.

The fourth group consisting of officers from Civil Defence, Public Relations Department, Strategic Planning and the PTI discussed civil protection and safety while the fifth group from Criminal Evidences and Information Dept (CEID), Juvenile Police Department and the PTI discussed the safe use of the internet.

The last group made of Coasts and Borders Security Department. and PTI discussed naval safety.

The second session of the workshop discussed mechanisms for implementing the 12 recommendations of the seminar.
