DOHA the Minister of energy and industry HE Dr. Mohammad bin Saleh al Sada, on Thursday laid the foundation stone of the new campus complex of Qatar Petroleum (QP) support Gas operations on Mesaieed.
The ceremony marked the successful operation of QP Gas operations for more than three decades, and was attended by a number of top drivers and members of QP QP management team.
The new aid will speed up the growth of the campus complex MIC's hydrocarbon industry, which is expected to be its dynamism with the expansion of existing projects, as well as the introduction of more added value large and "downstream".
Speaking to reporters on the function, praised Sada the growth of Mesaieed which States that an excellent investment location where investors in an efficient, profitable, safe and healthy environment can operate.
QP began the production of natural gas liquids from her NGL plants in the 70 's.
The complex has four big NGL processing plants and a road plot for product storage and export facility.
The processed natural gas complex NGL streams of several fields onshore and offshore production and Ras Laffan processing facilities.
The NGL operations are a strategic asset of QP, the processing of natural gas is essential for the petrochemical and natural gas supply and large revenue contributor for Qatar. The plants produce natural gas used as vegetable fuel for additional QP amenities at MIC and fed in QP of gas distribution grid.
Propane, butane and condensate are stored and sold in export or local markets.
Earlier in the day, gave Mubarak al Muhannadi, Operations Manager Eid a overview of the activities and achievements in the field of the production of gas, gas processing and transmission and distribution of the unit.
He emphasizes the contributions of QP Qatar's Gas operations development because the supplier principle of fuel gas and hydrocarbon raw material to a wide range of industries and power plants in Qatar.
Later, Sada sat a recognition ceremony for the long-serving ex-Gas employees superannuation. He also divided the prices of Gas operations 2012 for the Department managers.
Sada then an exhibition inaugurated presentation of results and activities of the various services of the QP Gas operations. He also took the opportunity to interact with the Qatari trainees and developees.
