Brookings Doha to discuss the consequences of our polls on MENA

DOHA BROOKINGS Doha Center on Wednesday evening discusses important issues and the impact that the upcoming presidential elections of the United States for the region of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) in The Center in West Bay, Doha will have.

The panelists for the discussion are Danielle Pletka, vice President for foreign and defense policy studies at the American Enterprise Institute, Tamara Cofman Wittes, Director of the Saban Center for Middle East policy at Brooking and Shadi Hamid, Director of research at the Brookings Doha Center.

According to the Center's pre-registration required for participation.

Brookings Doha Center Director Salman Shaikh will moderate the discussion will begin at 5 pm. The panel members will then answer some questions from the audience.

The discussion is important for the MENA region that the debates between U.S. President Barack Obama and the Republican candidate follows-Mitt Romney. The elections will be held on 6 November.

Talk about the elections, the Center said the outcome will have a significant impact not only on the US domestic issues such as the economy, health and employment, but also on the u.s. foreign policy on the MENA.

The recent attacks on us diplomatic outposts in Libya, Egypt and other countries of the Arab world have renewed debate about national security and US policy in the Middle East.
