Life expectancy in Qatar highest in GCC

DOHA on 78-year-old, Qatar has the highest life expectancy in the GCC region and is on par with the United States (78) and almost equal to the United Kingdom (80), a new report has said.

According to a GCC health care report released by Kuwait financial centre (Markaz), is Qatar's health expenditure per capita the highest, despite the fact that the amount as a percentage of GDP is the lowest in the GCC.

The report noted that Saudi Arabia had the highest crude birth rate on 21.6, while Qatar had the lowest 12.7
The crude mortality rate also has been on the decline with a maximum drop of 30 percent the UAE record over a period of ten years.

The adolescent fertility rate (adolescent pregnancy) had UAE on the lowest in the GCC with 24.7, followed by the United Kingdom (30), the US (33), Egypt (43) and India (79), the report points out.

About the health insurance policy according to the report, "Qatar is aimed at the whole population under a uniform national health insurance '.
